Not many times in your life can you say you met an actual ROCK STAR, right? Someone who just totally knocks you off your feet. Someone who totally and completely blows you away with their talent. Well, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again right now, I have been really lucky lately. I had the opportunity to meet and become fast friends with said ROCK STAR… Want a hint? All I have to say is YAN! Yeah, you know her. The crazy talented, funny and amazing artist, Diana Palmer from Yan Photography. The girl with the incredibly witty and entertaining blog, not to mention her images are pure candy for the soul.
To my total excitement and surprise, Yan called me up one day. She invited me on a shoot and I couldn’t pass it up. 37 weeks pregnant or not…I was there. From the second we met and greeted each other with a big hug, I knew we would totally hit it off. The shoot was amazing of course and it was a real treat to see such an amazing artist at work. A lot of times, I just sat back and watched Yan perform her magic. The couple she had were so perfect and were the best models. Seriously, take a look for yourself! They don’t need a long intro…their love absolutely speaks for itself. Thanks guys!

I am trying you guys…I really am. But yes, it is a struggle to pick up that camera everyday when all I want is to have this baby! I am so ready. Only three weeks to go. And whenever I think of that…the song “It’s the Final Countdown” jumps into my head and I start singing it loud and dancing and it makes it all better
I did have the wonderful opportunity to take some fun family shots of Megan Lee and her cute little family. She will be shooting my birth photography and really, I can’t wait for that. My poor girls. Their birth photographer was my husband. And his idea of birth photography was taking the camera and getting tons of shots of their first bowel movement. Ya know, the tar kind. Ummm yeah. So needless to say little Sawyer will have some really great images of his entrance into this world. And of course I will be sharing it all after it happens, but for now here is a taste of the pure sweetness Megan captures…see it HERE.

Hey guys! Happy Friday. Just wanted to share some exciting news. I am featured over at everyday things. SOOOOOO exciting. Every month Jessica interviews one of her favorite photographers…on the list of past interviewees…Jose Villa, Cheryl Murh, Jesh De Rox, Sheye Rosemeyer, Jasmine Star (umm helllo)…just to name a few. Crazy fun, right?! So you can see my excitement, bewilderment and just plain total shock when I got her email requesting an interview. In my email back to her I even made sure she meant to send the email to me…thinking she made some sort of mistake. haha! I am such a nerd.
