Welcome to what I like to call my second home. It's where I like to be when my kids give me a few seconds to share what I love most- them.

I started my photography journey a little over two years ago just wanting to take better pictures of my kids. I fell in love and quickly jumped into my own business. I took pictures of a lot of other peoples kids, but was often too tired to capture the memories of my own. I have come full circle and am back to shooting the ones I love.

Right now my main focus is perfecting my art. While I have decided not to be in business at this time, I would love for this to be a place of inspiration and beauty. Somewhere I can share myself in my work. As photographer Nan Goldin once said, "This is a diary I let people read." I have many different projects in mind and can't wait to see them come to life.

I am an artist who loves to share the beauty of a smile, a connection and a laugh. I have a story to tell and a journey I would love to share with you.

a sweeter, chunkier, smilier (i am sure that’s not a word), lovable, SQUEEZABLE baby boy? Baby Colton is so precious. We had a great time hanging with his wonderful parents and his dog brother, Charger. I really love this family and had such a great time with all of them. Just a few of the Richter Family!…..

I know, I know it’s been a while, BUT I have some really great excuses.

1. I had a wonderful time at WPPI. It is a huge convention for photographers here in Vegas. I was there all week and learned SO much. I was able to attend some of my favorite photograpers classes..Audrey Woulard, Jessica Claire and Tamera Lackey. The tradeshow was amazing and I spent waaay too much money

2. We have been packing up for our big move and that is stressful!

3. But the best and most important news is….we are PREGNANT! Yep, we just found out and I am sooo excited! Baby #3 will be making his/her entrance in late October/early November…so quite possibly another December birthday. Just kidding…we calculated wrong! ha If you are wondering…I am SO ready for a boy

So as you can see I have been busy to say the least. BUT, I promise to get right back on track. So to kick it off, here is a session that I absolutely loved! These sisters are so sweet, beautiful, loving and so young at heart. We laughed the entire time. They were absolute naturals. They made my job cake. Thanks ladies for such a wonderful time. as you know I don’t do weddings. HA! I have done a few in the past (which I loved), but decided not to do them. Well my friend Anjuli called me and told me her brother was getting married and if I would do the wedding. I don’t know why, but (while I was nervous) I had a strong feeling to do it. I am so glad I went with it because I am now considering doing them again. I loved working with them and got some really fun pictures. Bryson and Marissa were a blast! They even jumped on the trampoline for me! Thank you for letting me capture your beautiful day for you two!

untitled-1 Just about everyday I get emails from photographers, friends, strangers, moms, and students all wanting information and asking questions about my camera, lenses, editing programs, classes, etc. While I would love to and try to answer all of these emails…I can’t keep up. I have an entire folder in my email inbox that has been totally neglected due to NO time. I am so sorry for this! I would honestly rather answer each email, but with a busy business and my sweet little family needing a mom and wife at times…I have to do it this way. So I thought about putting together a Q&A page on my blog with answers to ALL of your questions. So here goes…

If you have a question about my camera, which lenses I love, how I got started, classes I recommend, editing programs I use….~~my middle name~~…ANYTHING…ask it HERE! I will wait about a week, and then I will put together a complete information page.

You can leave your questions(s) as a comment on here or email it/them over and I will be sure to answer everything on the Q&A page.
