Okay enough of that. So I love getting comments and emails when people say just by reading my blog that they feel we are friends. They feel like they know me. I love that. I love that because I feel that way about a lot of the people who write the blogs I know and love. Pioneer Woman, Sheye Rosemeyer, NieNie, ya you know them.

Sooooo, I thought it might be fun to every now and then to do a post where you truly get to know me. You get to know not only the mother, the wife, the photographer, but me. Get to know the things I love. The things that drive me BONKERS. The other things I am kinda good at and even things that I have no business doing but I have fun trying. Places I love and foods that put me in eternal bliss.

Sound fun? A little? Well, I am scerrrrd folks! But, it will be good. Yes, it will be good. Repeating to myself over and over….

I decided to get the biggest most embarrassing done and over with. sooooo….

I sing. Not tons anymore, but it is a love of mine. Music has always filled my soul in ways that no other thing in this world can. I am inspired by it. Uplifted and motivated by it.

When I was younger I wanted to be Eponine in the Broadway play Les Miserable. I was obsessed to say the least.

Then when Britney Spears got big, I wanted to be her. Okay well pre her wildly inappropriate hussy days. hehehe

Neither happened. Obviously. But my love for singing has never dwindled…in the least.

When I was a teenager I wrote some words down on a sheet of paper. The most real and honest words in my heart. It was a plea. A plea to God to help me. To comfort me.

It was a hard time in my life. I felt alone. I felt lost. I felt broken and confused. I wrote the prayer in my heart onto paper and from there came the first song I ever wrote.

*Remember I was a teenager when I wrote and recorded this song, so don’t judge me to harshly. There are imperfections, in both the song writing and recording. But, it is something that I am proud of and something that is very special to me.
